Minister Musafiri and AGRA President appreciated different technologies being showcased in agriculture

Today, the Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources Dr Ildephonse Musafiri together with Agnes M. Kalibata, the President of AGRA, visited Rwanda Agrishow 2023.

Minister Ildephonse Musafiri and Agnes Kalibata, a former Rwandan Minister of Agriculture, appreciated different technologies and innovation being showcased in all agriculture value chains including seeds production.

With the theme “Innovative Agriculture for Sustainable Development,” the 16th  National Agriculture Show, also known as Agrishow 2023, aims to showcase the latest advancements and technologies in the agricultural sector. It serves as a platform for stakeholders to exchange knowledge, explore business opportunities, and foster partnerships that can contribute to the growth and development of Rwanda’s agriculture industry.

In addition to the exhibition, the show hosts a series of conferences and workshops addressing key topics such as climate-smart agriculture, agribusiness financing, market access, and youth involvement in agriculture. These sessions provide valuable insights and practical knowledge to help attendees navigate the challenges and opportunities in the sector.

The 16th National Agriculture Show is taking place from July 20th to July 29th, 2023 at the Mulindi / Gasabo Show Ground in Kigali.

AGRA (Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa) is an organisation that seeks to transform African agriculture from a subsistence model to strong businesses that improve the livelihoods of the continent’s farming households. (Fin)
