Agricultural innovation best practices to be shared in FAO organized meeting

Kigali: The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Agrinatura and the Government of Rwanda with funds from the European Union (EU), implemented a 3-year project “Capacity development for agricultural innovation systems (CDAIS)” aimed to increase the impacts of investments in strengthening ‘soft’ skills in three innovation niche partnerships (Cassava value chain in Ruhango district, Dairy value chain in Burera district, and the Rwangingo – Karangazi catchment located in Gatsibo and Nyagatre districts) surrounding significant public, private or donor-funded infrastructure developments.

As the project ends, a National CDAIS forum will be organized tomorrow with the objectives of sharing lessons learnt and discuss implementation realities for the sustainability of the project best practices.

The meeting targets farmers that have been involved in the project so that they can exchange among themselves and share their experiences.

The other important target group are key civil servants and decision makers at the level of the Ministries and, possibly, regional institutions and bodies.

The last target group is the potential key funders/investors that can support the process further. (End)
