American footballer Josh Doctson paid respects to genocide victims

This Tuesday, American footballer Josh Doctson paid respects to victims of the 1994 genocide and visited Kigali memorial’s exhibitions.

Josh Doctson (born December 3, 1992) is an American football wide receiver for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Texas Christian and was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He has also played for the Minnesota Vikings.

The Kigali Genocide Memorial commemorates the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. The remains of over 250,000 people are interred there. There is a visitor centre for students and those wishing to understand the events leading up to the genocide of 1994. (End)
