Cabinet approved Mr Jérémie Blin, as Ambassador of EU in Rwanda, with residence in Kigali; Dr. Simone Knapp, as Ambassador of Austria with residence in Nairobi; and Ms. Dede Ekoue, Country Representative of the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) with residence in Kigali.
Cabinet approved the draft law determining State finances for the 2026/27 fiscal year. The draft budget focuses on strengthening agriculture production, boosting industries, accelerating job creation and ensuring macroeconomic stability.
Cabinet was briefed on the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the region and Rwanda’s preparedness measures. The Ministry of Health has reinforced prevention, screening, and surveillance at all Points of Entry to safeguard public health. There are currently no Ebola cases in Rwanda, and all activities continue as normal. Citizens are encouraged to remain vigilant and follow public health guidelines.
