Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda Gao Wenqi called on Kazarwa Gertrude, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies.
Deputy Chief of Mission and Minister-Counselor at the Embassy of China Lin Hang, Deputy Speaker in charge of parliamentary affairs UWINEZA Beline, Deputy Speaker in charge of administration and finance Harerimana Mussa Fazil were present.

Ambassador Gao Wenqi stated that China and Rwanda share many similarities in governance and development philosophies, and support each other on issues concerning each others’ core interests and major concerns.
2026 marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Rwanda, and bilateral relations are at their best in history.
Ambassador Gao Wenqi said that China stands ready to work with Rwanda to implement the important consensus reached by the two Heads of State, deepen practical cooperation, strengthen mutual learning, so as to advance the comprehensive strategic partnership, and bring about greater benefits to the two peoples.
Speaker Kazarwa Gertrude appreciated China’s support for Rwanda’s economic and social development, expressed the readiness to further promote inter-parliamentary exchanges boosting the sound development of bilateral relations. (End)
