On 12 December, Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda Gao Wenqi attended the 7th African’s Business Heroes(ABH) Summit, Ms. Juliana Kangeli Muganza, Deputy CEO of RDB, Mr. Sun Lijun, President of Alibaba Philanthropy and Chair of the Board of Alibaba Foundation, and Counselor Gao Zhiqiang were also present. The summit welcomed nearly 2,000 entrepreneurs, investors, and media representatives from all over Africa and the world.
In his remarks, Amb. Gao highly valued the positive role the ABH has played in encouraging African youth to start businesses and stimulate innovation in the African economy, noting that Chinese and Rwandan enterprises have worked together to effectively expanded our bilateral economic cooperation into new realms including artificial intelligence, digital economy, green energy, financial technology, etc.
Ambassador Gao emphasized that China will continue to broaden market access for Africa, share the fruits of its development and its vast market, let Africa benefit from China’s zero-tariff treatment, and jointly build a China-Africa community with a shared future. (End)
