CHOGM: Traffic advisory for June 19, 2022

On Sunday, June 19, the road stretching from Serena Hotel – Payage – Sopetrad – Kimicanga – Kimihurura – Gishushu – Gisimenti – Giporoso – Nyandungu – At 15 – Mulindi – Inyange Industries – Intare Arena, will from time to time be restricted to facilitate the movements of CHOGM delegates.

Therefore, road users are advised to plan their journeys prior and to use other available alternative routes.

For motorists coming from Kabuga or the Eastern Province, they are advised to use the road Musambi – road behind Intare Arena parking lot – Mulindi – Gasogi – Musave – Special Economic Zone – Nayinzira – Kimironko – Controle technique – Nyabisindu – Gishushu – Kabuga ka Nyarutarama – Utexrwa – Kinamba.

Another alternative route is Mulindi – Kanombe through Kajagali – Nyarugunga Health Center – Busanza – Itunda or Rubirizi – Kabeza – Alpha Palace – Sonatubes – Rwandex – Kanogo – Kinamba.

Motorists can also use Kinamba – Yamaha – Gereza – Onatracom.

“Police officers will be on the road to direct travellers and we urge the public to be responsive, abide by the instructions that will be given to them by Police officers and to respect traffic rules and regulations to prevent accidents,” Rwanda National Police (RNP) spokesperson, Commissioner of Police (CP) John Bosco Kabera, said.
