President Paul Kagame, who is also the Commander-In-Chief of Rwanda Defence Force (RDF), has promoted Godfrey Gasana from the rank of Colonel to Brigadier General.
Colonel Godfrey Gasana, who is elevated to the rank of Brigadier General, is the Deputy Air Force Chief of Staff. The statement released by RDF shows that the appointment takes immediate effect.
President Paul Kagame has made key changes in the top leadership of RDF, with the appointment of Juvenal Marizamunda as Minister of Defence and Lt Gen Mubarakh Muganga as the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS).
