Head of diplomatic mission in Central African joined Rwandan bilateral force to mark “Kwibuka 30”

The head of the Diplomatic Mission in the Central African Republic Mr. Olivier Kayumba, joined the Rwandan bilateral force to mark the 30th Commemoration of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi “kwibuka 30”.  The commemoration took place at M’POKO Base Camp, Bangui Capital City.

In his remarks, the Head of the Diplomatic Mission in the CAR, Mr. Olivier Kayumba, emphasized the importance of reflecting on Rwanda’s transformational journey over the last 30 years. He called upon the new generation to sustain the legacy of strength, resilience, and unity that has been built over the past 30 years.

Rwandan Bilateral Force Contingent Commander, Colonel Alphonse Gahima highlighted the significance of fostering a sense of community and protecting humanity by preventing the spread of genocide ideology.

The commemoration was attended by members of the Rwandan community in the Central African Republic and friends of Rwanda. (End)
