The Alliance Fleuve Congo (AFC/M23) draws the attention of the national and international community to the ongoing genocide against our Banyamulenge compatriots, perpetrated by the coalition forces of the Kinshasa regime, including FARDC, FDR, Wazalendo militias and the Burundi National Defense Force, in broad daylight.
These terrorist attacks, carried out by the Kinshasa regime, are destroying infrastructure, killing, injuring, and displacing a huge number of our Banyamulenge compatriots in the densely populated areas of Rugezi, Minembwe, Mikenke, Kundondo, Rurambo, and their surroundings, thereby causing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.
This situation is encouraged by the total silence of the international community and humanitarian organisations.
AFC/M23 remains committed to a peaceful resolution of the conflict and reaffirms its commitment to protecting and defending civilian population as well as its positions.
