Mashami unveiled as Amavubi coach, calls 28 players for Cameroon and Congo Brazzaville

Kigali: Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) has unveiled Mashami Vincent as the head coach of Rwanda Men’s senior football team for a period of one year.

The announcement was made during a press conference that took place at FERWAFA Head office after finalizing the contractual process with the Ministry of Sports.

Mashami who has been a one-year renewable contract will be assisted by HABIMANA Sosthene and Alain KIRASA as the first and second assistant coaches respectively.

The other members on the technical team include Higiro Thomas (Goalkeeper Coach), Niyintunze Jean Paul (Fitness Coach), Rutayisire Jackson (Team Manager), Rutamu Patrick (Physio), Nuhu Asouman (Physio), Peter Baziki (Kit Manager) and Munyaneza Jacques (Assistant Kit Manager).

Mashami immediately summoned 32 players who will be engaged in the upcoming friendly games against Cameroon on 24th February 2020 and Congo Brazzaville on 28th February 2020.

The summoned players are only composed of local players who are expected to join the camp at La Palisse Hotel, Nyamata on Monday Morning ready to begin intensive preparations on Monday at the National Stadium AMAHORO.

Rwanda will play against Cape Verde in March 2020 on matchday 3 and 4 of AFCON 2021 Qualifiers. (End)
