Minister Kabarebe opens second Rwanda-EU Defence and Security dialogue

This morning, Minister of State in charge of Regional Cooperation Gen. (Rtd.) James Kabarebe officially opened and chaired the second Rwanda-EU Defence and Security consultations as a part of a joint commitment to renew and enhance the peace and security cooperation between Rwanda and the European Union(EU).

The EU Delegation is headed by Mr. Cosmin Dobran, Director of Peace, Partnerships, and Crisis Management at the European External Action Service (EEAS).

The first security and defence consultations between the European Union and Rwanda had taken place on 19 January 2023 in Kigali.  The Dialogue marks a new step in the relationship between the European Union and Rwanda. (End)
