Minister Musabyimana receive Ghana’s Minister of Information

The Minister of Local Government Jean Claude Musabyimana received in his office Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Ghana Information Minister, accompanied by Eustochie Sezibera Country Director CorpsAfrica Rwanda.

Minister Kojo came to learn from the role of Youth Volunteers, how they are coordinated and facilitated by the Government of Rwanda, and shared how Youth Volunteers in Rwanda support in the implementation of diverse Government programs that impact and transform lives of communities.

Minister Kojo joined leaders and youth from nine African countries gathered in Kigali for CorpsAfrica “All-Country Conference 2023” to discuss on the theme: “Youth shaping the future of Africa”.

The final day of the conference, June 16, was open to the public and featured an exciting list of speakers focused on the ways in which youth can and will contribute to Africa’s development.

CorpsAfrica is a non-profit organization that provides the opportunity for Africans to serve as volunteers in their own countries giving them the opportunity to apply their education, skills, and energy toward helping their fellow citizens overcome extreme poverty.

In Rwanda, CorpsAfrica volunteers are deployed in eight districts to facilitate the mind-set change of community members and development, and Rwanda expects that CorpsAfrica will expand its activities in the other 22 remaining districts.  (End)
