Rwanda’s Minister of Defence, Major General Albert Murasira, and Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Jean Bosco Kazura, received today a European Union (EU) delegation at the Ministry of Defense Headquarters at Kigali.
The EU delegation was led by Ms Joanneke Balfoort, Deputy Managing Director of Security and Defense Policy at European External Action Service (EEAS), and Vice Admiral Hervé Bléjean, Director General of the EU Military Staff. They held consultations on security and defense issues.
A delegation from the European Commission led by Ms. Joanneke Balfoort is in Rwanda for the first EU-Rwanda Security and Defence Consultations officially opened yesterday by Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Dr Vincent Biruta. (Fin)
