The Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda, and the Rwanda Army Chief, Lieutenant General Mubarak Muganga, received the Ambassador of the State of Israel to Rwanda, Ms. Einat Weiss. They discussed ways of strengthening existing defence cooperation.
Einat Weiss assumed office on August 29 replacing Ambassador Ron Adam who completed his tour of duty, having served his four-year tenure as Israel’s top diplomat to Rwanda.
Ambassador Adam was Israel’s first resident Ambassador in Kigali since the revival of the bilateral relations between the two states.
The Israel-Rwanda relations have since 2016 been strengthened when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, on his first trip to Africa, visited Rwanda. (End)
