Minister of State Kabarebe met with Pakistan’s Permanent Secretary Haider Sha

The Rwandan Minister of State in charge of Regional Cooperation Gen. (Rtd.) James Kabarebe met with Ambassador Haider Sha, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan on the sidelines of the 19th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit of Heads of State and Government, which is taking place in Uganda.

Minister of State Gen. (Rtd.) James Kabarebe and Ambassador Haider Sha discussed further deepening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Rwanda and Pakistan established diplomatic ties since July 1962. Rwanda is represented in Pakistan by its Embassy in Beijing, China, while Pakistan has had a resident High Commission in Kigali since March 2021.

Both countries cooperate in various areas including trade and investment, defense and health. (End)
