Moroccan Medical Aid to the Commission of the African Union arrives in Addis Ababa

The Moroccan medical aid sent to the Commission of the African Union, within the framework of the aid granted, following the High Instructions of His Majesty Mohammed VI, King of Morocco, to several African countries to support them in their efforts to fight the coronavirus pandemic, arrived on Monday 22nd of June 2020, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The Moroccan medical aid was received at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa by the AU Commissioner for Social Affairs, Mrs Amira El Fadil, and Morocco’s Ambassador, Permanent Representative to the AU and the UNECA, Mr Mohamed Arrouchi.

The Moroccan aid sent to several African countries is intended to provide protective medical equipment to support these countries in their efforts to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

This solidarity action is part of the implementation of the Initiative launched by His Majesty, Mohammed VI, King of Morocco on April 13, 2020, as a pragmatic and action-oriented approach, intended to the brotherly African countries, enabling the sharing of experiences and good practices and aiming to establish an operational framework in order to support their efforts in the various phases of the management of the pandemic.
