The Minister of Education Dr. Valentine Uwamariya received Prof. Dr Daniel Nivagara, Minister of Science, Technology and High Education of Mozambique together with High Commissioner of Mozambique in Rwanda Amade Miquidade and their delegation.
Minister Valentine Uwamariya and his Mozambican counterpart, Prof. Dr Daniel Nivagara, discussed potential collaborations in the education sector between the countries.
The visit is based on the good bilateral relations between the Republic of Rwanda and the Republic of Mozambique. The two countries cooperate in different areas including security, trade, investment and security.
On 9th July 2021, Rwanda started to send troops of the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) and the Rwanda National Police (RNP) to Mozambique to fight rebel groups linked to the Islamic State.
The joint operations between Rwandan and Mozambican troops have started yielding big where different regions were seized from rebels. (End)
