Kigali: A senior official wanted in connection with alleged embezzlement of Rwf 203m ($360,000) was nabbed Saturday afternoon at the airport trying to leave the country, RNA reports.

Mr. Faustin Mugisha, the finance director at the Rwanda Institute of Administration and Management is accused along with his boss Marc Kabandana – also in detention, for misusing the institution’s funds.

According state prosecutors and police, Mr. Mugisha could have been preparing to leave the country. No details were readily available as to whether he was fleeing to evade any arrest over the accusations.
