PM Ngirente attends OACPS Summit in Angola

Today, representing President Kagame, Premier Minister(PM) Edouard Ngirente attends the 10th Heads of State and Government Summit of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States, taking place in Luanda, Angola.

The Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), in collaboration with the Government of Angola, is hosting the 10th Summit of OACPS Heads of State and Government in Luanda, from 6-10 December 2022.

Leaders are discussing, amongst other issues, the challenges of climate change, including economic diversification and peace and security challenges.  

Themed, “3 Continents, 3 Oceans, 1 Common Destiny: Building a resilient and sustainable OACPS”, the 10th Summit marks the first live meeting of OACPS Heads of State since the coming-into-force of the revised Georgetown Agreement in April 2020, the change in leadership at the Secretariat and the outbreak of the COVID-19. 

The Summit of OACPS Heads of State and Government is the supreme organ of the Organisation and defines the OACPS’ general policy orientation. (End)
