President Kagame co-chairs SDG Board Meeting at UN

New York: President Kagame today chaired the Sustainable Development Goals Board Meeting. The Meeting convened on the sidelines of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The President serves as the Chair of the SDG Centre for Africa Board of Directors. The Centre recently opened its Sub-Regional Centre for Southern Africa in Lusaka, Zambia.

In the evening, the Head of State will deliver remarks at a high-level meeting on Innovation Driving Universal Health Coverage. The meeting is convened by Partners in Health (PIH) and Unitaid, a global health initiative that works through market-based interventions to achieve global market and public health impact.

The high-level meeting aims to broaden and deepen support for the ways in which innovation is accelerating the realisation of Universal Health Coverage based on innovative examples from countries like Rwanda, Lesotho, and Malawi among others. (End)
