
This morning in Astana, the capital city of The Republic of Kazakhstan, President Kagame was received by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the Aqorda Presidential Palace where they held tête-a-tête discussions.
“Kazakhstan has made remarkable strides in national development, matched by a growing and constructive role on the world stage. This speaks to your leadership, Mr President, and to the determination of the Kazakh people. We are happy to be partners and friends. In Rwanda, we know that such progress is built over time through good governance, and working with the right partners. That is why we are here“, President Kagame said during the bilateral meeting with President Tokayev and their delegation.
President Kagame is in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan for an official visit and to participate in the Astana International Forum.
Kazakhstan, a Central Asian country and former Soviet republic, extends from the Caspian Sea in the west to the Altai Mountains at its eastern border with China and Russia. (End)
