The President of the Republic of Rwanda and Commander-in-Chief of the Rwandan Army, Paul Kagame has promoted lieutenants and second lieutenants as follows:
A. 1,119 Lieutenants promoted to the rank of Captain
B. 1,311 Second Lieutenants promoted to the rank of Lieutenant
The announcement was made on 29th March 2023 by the Ministry of Defense through a statement that highlighted the immediate effect of the promotions. (End)
