Prime Minister Ngirente attend state funeral for late former Namibia President

Prime Minister Dr.Edouard Ngirente represented President Paul Kagame in the State Funeral for the former President of Namibia, Dr. Hage Geingob.

On Saturday, 24th February 2024, Prime Minister attended the memorial service that took place at the Independence Stadium in Windhoek.

While delivering his tributes, the Premier extended sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the family, and the people and Government of Namibia.

He noted that Dr. Hage Geingob was a true champion of Africa’s liberation struggle, and that his quest for freedom and justice inspired generations across Africa and beyond.

The Prime Minister revealed that Rwanda will always remember his contributions to the excellent and brotherly relations between our two countries. He also reaffirmed Rwanda’s commitment to continue strengthening this strong foundation of friendship and cooperation.

On Sunday, 25th February 2024, Prime Minister joined Heads of State and Government for the burial service of the Late Dr. Hage Geingob, at the Heroes Acre in Windhoek. He also paid a courtesy call on the former First Lady of Namibia to convey a special comforting message by President Kagame.  (End)
