Prime Minister presides over swearing-in ceremony of new Military High court Officials

The Prime Minister, Dr. Edouard Ngirente, officiated the Swearing-In Ceremony of newly appointed officials for the Military High Court and the Military Tribunal.

Following the Cabinet’s approval on 9 November 2024, Brigadier General Patrick Karuretwa was appointed President of the Military High Court; Lieutenant Colonel Charles Sumanyi, Vice President of the Military High Court; Lieutenant Colonel Gerard Muhigirwa Vice President of the Military Tribunal, and three Judges in the Military Tribunal: Captain Moses Ndoba, Lieutenant Darcy Ndayishimiye and Lieutenant  Thérèse Mukasakindi.

In his remarks during the ceremony, the Prime Minister, Dr. Ngirente, urged the newly sworn-in officials to prioritize continuous professional development.

He further emphasised the importance of leveraging technology in their daily work to enhance efficiency, performance, and service delivery.

The event took place in the presence of the Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda; the Minister of Justice, Dr. Emmanuel Ugirashebuja; the Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Ines Mpambara and the RDF Chief of Defence Staff, General MK Mubarakh, the Prosecutor General Angelique Habyarimana, Military Prosecutor General, Colonel Pacifique Kabanda among others. (End)
