RIB Leadership has started a three days retreat with the theme ‘Criminal investigations: Shaping the Profession.’
During this retreat, RIB senior leaders will take a step back to reflect, evaluate, and renew their commitment towards realizing the Institutional vision of becoming a Professional Investigative Institution.
In this retreat, there will be an esteemed lineup of speakers, including the Minister of Justice Dr. Emmanuel Ugirashebuja, CEO of the National Cyber Security Authority David Kanamugire, and the CEO of Rwanda Governance Board Dr. Usta Kaitesi.
The RIB (Rwanda Investigation Bureau) Leadership retreat started on June 27th and will conclude on June 29th, 2023.
RIB was established by law Nº12/2017 of 07/04/2017 which gives it a mandate to perform career criminal investigative functions. This mandate was formerly under the responsibility of the Rwanda National Police – Criminal Investigation Department since its establishment in 2000.
On 09th April 2018, Paul Kagame, the President of the Republic of Rwanda, appointed the first and current RIB Secretary General and the Deputy Secretary General. (End).
