Kigali: Government of Rwanda and the Federal Republic of Germany held bilateral consultations on development Cooperation.
Both sides agreed to further develop among others the monitoring and evaluation system at Local Administrative Entities Development Agencies (LODA), local government, and fund a new programme to support digitalization and promotion of decentralized administration to a tune of 8 million Euros.
The Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury Caleb Rwamuganza noted that the inter-governmental consultations have become a viable and useful platform where, as partners, we reflect on jointly pursued objective of catalyzing Rwanda’s development process but also a moment of reflection on how to improve the implementation of shared commitments.
“The sustained development cooperation as well as negotiation illustrates, once again, the mutual trust and excellent relations shared by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of Rwanda,” PS Rwamuganza said.
“We are confident that Rwanda is able to take the necessary steps in developing innovative policies and implementing far reaching reforms in order to make growth not only sustainable but also inclusive. Both sides welcomed the implementation of the export growth facility. The German side further underlined its commitment to support the implementation of the export credit guarantee window under the export growth facility. (Fin)
