Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Vincent Biruta joined his counterparts from the 55 Member States of the African Union (AU) for the 22nd Extraordinary Session of the Executive Council, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
During this session, the Council will deliberate on the report concerning the readiness for the election of senior leadership within the African Union Commission scheduled for February 2025.
The AU Executive Council is composed of foreign ministers or such other ministers or authorities as are designated by the governments of Member States. It coordinates and takes decisions on policies in areas of common interest to Member States.
