Rwanda welcomed 360 returnees from DRC follows the defeat of FDLR

Rwanda has welcomed the first group of 360 returnees via Rubavu District, part of over 2,500 citizens who had been blocked and detained by FDLR in Eastern DRC for years.

Their return follows the defeat of FDLR in Northern and Southern Kivu.

They will be temporarily hosted at Kijote and Nyarushishi Transit Centers, where they will receive support before reintegration into national development programs.

Rwanda remains committed to ensuring all its citizens return home in safety and dignity. (End)
