RwandAir reports a minor incident at Kamembe Airport

RwandAir Flight WB601 to Kamembe this morning had a minor incident on landing. The cause of the accident has not been announced by the flag carrier airline of Rwanda.

“All passengers and crew are safe. We’ll experience some disruptions in our schedule today and apologize for any inconvenience”, says Rwanda’s national carrier in a statement. 

The aircraft, which was involved in the accident, had to take off from Kigali International Airport at 7:00 a.m to land at Kamembe Airport in Rusizi District, Western Province, at 7:40 a.m.

RwandAir Limited is the flag carrier airline of Rwanda. It operates domestic and international services to East Africa, Central Africa, West Africa, Southern Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, from its main base at Kigali International Airport in Kigali. (End)
