Rwanda’s 32nd Liberation Anniversary celebrated in Israel

Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Olivier Nduhungirehe highlighted Rwanda’s remarkable journey from tragedy to hope

On 6 July, the Embassy of Rwanda in Israel celebrated the 32nd Anniversary of Rwanda’s Liberation (#Kwibohora32).

The celebration was honoured by Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Olivier Nduhungirehe, and Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa’ar. 

In his remarks, Minister Nduhungirehe highlighted Rwanda’s remarkable journey from tragedy to hope, calling on Rwandans in Israel, especially the youth to be proud ambassadors of Rwanda and harness knowledge and innovation for Rwanda’s continued development. He also reaffirmed the strong Rwanda–Israel relations.

In his remarks, Minister Gideon Sa’ar praised the enduring friendship between Israel and Rwanda, emphasizing the two nations’ shared resilience, commitment to preserving historical truth, and expanding cooperation for peace, development, and prosperity.

The event brought together the Rwandan community in Israel, Friends of Rwanda, and members of the diplomatic community.
