Sector Juba Commander applauds readiness of Rwandan peacekeepers in South Sudan

Brigadier General Abdullah Al Mamun is exchanging with Rwandan Peacekeepers 

The Sector Juba Commander, Brigadier General Abdullah Al Mamun, visited Rwandan Peacekeepers (Rwanbatt-3) serving under the United Nation Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) at their Hqs, Juba Durupi base camp. 

Brigadier General Abdullah Al Mamun applauded the readiness of Rwandan peacekeepers in South Sudan where Rwanda maintains three battalions and one Aviation Unit.

The visit highlights the invaluable contributions made by Rwandan peacekeepers to UNMISS, showcasing their preparedness, professionalism, and dedication in executing their duties. 

Currently, Rwanda is the 3rd biggest troop contributing country in support of UN peacekeeping operations in Darfur (UNAMID), South Sudan (UNMISS), and Central African Republic (MINUSCA).

 Since 2004, Rwanda has sent more than 73,000 troops on peacekeeping missions across Africa and beyond. (End)
