Senate President visits development projects in Bugesera District

The President of the Senate, Dr Iyamuremye Augustin, visited Rwanda Institute for Conservation Agriculture RICA, Enviroserve Rwanda Green Park and Gako Meat Company ltd in Bugesera District. 

Dr Iyamuremye Augustin interacted with VC Chancellors Dr Ron Rosati and Dr Richard Ferguson on the functioning of Rwanda Institute for Conservation Agriculture, challenges and projections to boost the agriculture sector in Rwanda. 

The President of the Senate, Dr Iyamuremye Augustin signed in the guestbook and pointed out “I would like to thank RICA for their warm welcome. I wanted to make this visit to congratulate you on this important and innovative initiative. RICA is the future of agriculture in Rwanda: sustainable agriculture adapted to the situation of Rwanda.”

During his visit to Enviroserve Rwanda Green Park, the President of the Senate hails the factory for its contribution to protecting the environment, and while on the side of Gako Meat Company ltd, the President of the Senate visited the “Gako Beef Project”, a project that is expected to cost more than Rwf73 billion, in partnership with the government and the private sector. He exchanged views with the Project leaders on how to increase productivity. (End)
