Somali women MPs met with State Minister in charge of National Treasury

Rwanda’s Minister of State in charge of National Treasury Richard Tusabe hosted a productive session with the Women’s Caucus Committee from the Upper House of the Federal Parliament of Somalia.

They exchanged Rwanda’s practices in the process of carrying out a gender-responsive budget analysis and the implementation of the Government gender commitments.

Somali women legislators who are in Rwanda for a benchmarking visit met yesterday the   Senate President Francois Xavier Kalinda. They interacted on ways of promoting parliamentary diplomacy. 

Somalia and Rwanda share historic relations and the visit aims to strengthen the ties between the two countries. Somalia and Rwanda are both East African Nations. (End)
