Kigali: Rwandan side Rayon Sports FC departed Kigali on Thursday morning to Nigeria’s Abia State ahead of Sunday’s return leg against Nigerian champions Enyimba FC.

Rayon Sports FC face Enyimba FC on Sunday in the return leg of the quarter final round of the CAF Confederations Cup which be played at Enyimba International Stadium in Abia State of Nigeria at 15:00 local time.

According to the Rwanda Football Federation, the team departed for Lagos aboard Rwandair on Thursday morning, they will connect to Abe on Friday morning in two batches, one leaving at 7am and the rest at 9am respectively.

The Vice President of Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) Marcel Habyarimana leads the 40-man delegation.

The squad which held Enyimba Fc to a goalless draw in Kigali last Sunday will be aiming to register an away win to be granted a place in the last four of the lucrative CAF Confederation Cup.

The Blues have been boosted by the return of the center back Manzi Thierry who missed two of their previous fixtures due to a two-match suspension imposed by CAF.

Meanwhile, Brazilian tactician Roberto Oliviera has insisted Rayon Sports Caf Confederation Cup hope is alive despite their 0-0 1st leg quarter-final draw.

The hosts blew away plenty of scoring chances as Enyimba’s goalie Theophilus Afelokhai was at his best to earn the visitors a point but Oliveira has predicted that his side would fight their way back into the tie in the second leg.

“We will push to score goals and win the game, and we have proved we can score and win matches on foreign soil.

“I have confidence in my players and the coaching staff. We want to register further history and we will do all we can to achieve it,” he said in Sunday’s post-match press conference.

Coach Oliviera will miss the services of left back Eric Rutanga who is suspended for Sunday’s matches following two accumulative yellow cards and midfielder Yannick Mukunzi who has finished serving his two match ban but has gone to Sweden for trials.

The winner between Rayon Sports and Enyimba FC will face either CARA Brazzaville or Raja Casablanca in the semifinals next month. (End)
