Students from Kenya Defence Forces Joint Command and Staff College visit Rwanda

Students have so far visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial

A delegation of students, faculty and staff from Kenya Defence Forces Joint Command and Staff College was received by the Rwanda Defence Force Chief of Defence Staff, General Jean Bosco Kazura at the Rwanda Defence Forces (RDF) Headquarters(HQ), Kimihurura.

The Head of the delegation Brigadier General Joakim Ngure Mwamburi said that the visit was meant to improve students’ understanding of the socio-economic development process in Rwanda, in addition to Defence and regional integration issues.

At the RDF HQ, they were given briefing on the RDF transformation journey since the end of the liberation struggle in 1994. Their study tour in Rwanda began on 13 March and will end on 17 March.

Students have so far visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial, Campaign against Genocide Museum.

They also visited Zigama CSS, Military Medical Insurance, Rwanda Military Hospital and will visit RDF Command and Staff College and a few other Government and private institutions. (End)
