Students from Kenya National Defence College visit Rwanda

A delegation of students and faculty members from Kenya National Defence College is in Rwanda for a study tour from 4 to 11 December 2020.

The delegation led by the College’s faculty member, Maj Gen Rashid Abdi Elmi, paid a courtesy call to the RDF Chief of Defence Staff General Jean Bosco KAZURA and were briefed on the roles and organisation of the Rwanda Defence Force.

The Head of delegation Maj Gen Elmi had this to say: “Our study tour aims at enriching the students knowledge on security issues in Rwanda and the region”.

The delegation’s tour is expected to cover all aspects affecting security including socioeconomic and political issues, environmental security, foreign policy as well as culture.

The course participants are undergoing a one-year program preparing them for a better understanding of global issues.

The delegation started its tour to Rwanda by visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial and The Campaign against Genocide Museum.  They also visited Zigama CSS, Military Medical Insurance, Horizon Ltd and Rwanda Military Hospital. (End)
