The CPR invited the UAE Ambassador to talk about the Unity of religions in order to build Peace and Fraternity

The Secretary General of the Protestant Council of Rwanda (CPR), Bishop Reverend Samuel Rugambage, invited the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to participate in the meeting of the Executive Committee of the CPR on December 02, 2020 to give them a presentation on the Unity of religions for the purpose of building Peace and Fraternity among believers, according to Ambassador Hazza Alqahtani.

“During the first visit to the CPR, I shared with him the experience of Unity of religions (Islam, Christianity, and Judaism). I have shown how these three religions built the House of Abraham focused on Peace and Fraternity,”he said.

Bishop Reverend Rugambage recalls that the UAE Ambassador took advantage of his first visit to offer a donation to the CPR and present a document of the Agreement concluded between Pope Francis and the Grand Imam. This Agreement aims to establish Peace and Fraternity among believers.

“I took the opportunity to present our Letter of Thanks for these two laudable gestures which strengthen the CPR,” said Bishop Rugambage.

After the December 2 meeting with the CPR, Ambassador Hazza Alqahtani will be invited to pray in a Church which will be appointed to him, always for the purpose of strengthening the unity of religions.

For today’s visit, Rev. Rugambage also offered the Emirati diplomat a bible, pointing out that he himself possesses the Book of the Quran which he reads regularly. (End)
