The new Africa Medicines Agency headquarters inaugurated in Rwanda

This morning, Minister of Health Dr Sabin Nsanzimana and Ambassador Minata Samate Cessouma, the Commissioner for Health and Social Development at the African Union(AU), inaugurated the new Africa Medicines Agency (AMA) headquarters in Rwanda, marking a significant milestone for healthcare on the continent. 

The handover included a fully equipped building, vehicles, and essential resources to support AMA’s mission. 

Selected as host nation at the 2022 AU Summit, Rwanda will facilitate AMA’s pivotal role in standardizing and regulating medicines across Africa. (End)
