Yemen Foreign Minister reiterates his country’s position in favour of the Morocanity of the Sahara and Autonomy Initiative, as only basis for resolving this regional conflict

The Yemen Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Mr. Ahmed Awad BinMubarak, reiterated his country’s position in favour of the morocanity of the Sahara and the Autonomy Initiative as the only basis for resolving this regional conflict, during a meeting by videoconference on Monday, January 18, 2021, with Mr. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates.

On the occasion of this meeting, Mr. Bourita reiterated his congratulations to his Yemeni counterpart, following his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, while expressing the appreciation and support of the Kingdom of Morocco to the new Yemeni Government.

Mr. Nasser Bourita also expressed the hope that the new Government will carry out its missions, under the best conditions, in order to serve the interests of the brotherly Yemeni people and alleviate their sufferings.

During the talks, which also focused on the development of bilateral relations and regional and Arab issues, Mr. Nasser Bourita affirmed his support for international efforts to preserve Yemen’s unity, stability and national sovereignty.
