Zimbabwe Infrastructure Minister visited different projects in Rwanda

Felix Tapiwa Mhona visited the upgrading works of Sonatubes – Gahanga-Akagera road project completed at 87.2%.

The Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development of Zimbabwe on official visit to Rwanda, Felix Tapiwa Mhona, accompanied by the Ambassador of Zimbabwe, Charity Manyeruke, visited different projects in Rwanda.

Minister Felix Tapiwa Mhona and the delegation visited the upgrading works of Sonatubes – Gahanga-Akagera road project completed at 87.2%. The facility will connect the City of Kigali to the new airport under construction in Bugesera District.

The Officials visited the revamped Kigali car-free zone, that will be rebranded to ‘Imbuga City Walk’ to turn the zone into a green and recreational place with more attractive features.

 

Minister Felix Tapiwa Mhona visited the Campaign Against Genocide Museum located in the Parliamentary building. The Museum illustrates the military operation conducted by the Rwandan Patriotic Army (RPA) in a successful bid to stop the Genocide against the Tutsi in 1994.

Minister Felix Tapiwa Mhona also visited Kigali Logistics Platform owned by DP World UAE. The port serves as a gateway to the heart of Africa. The Platform is meant to ease trade both regional and international in Rwanda and its neighboring market. (End)
