Arsenal’s Sporting Director Edu Gaspar starts his visit of Akagera National Park

After Kigali, Arsenal’s Sporting Director Edu Gaspar and his family started their visit of Akagera National Park with a sunset boat safari on Lake Ihema.

The Brazilian and his family arrived in Rwanda on Saturday November 19, 2022 aboard RwandAir from London, United Kingdom. They are in Rwanda on holiday.

Edu Gaspar’s visit is part of the partnership between the ‘Visit Rwanda’ brand and the English Premier League, as the club’s inaugural sleeve sponsor and official tourism partner.

Akagera National Park lies in eastern Rwanda, hugging the border with Tanzania. It’s characterized by woodland, swamps, low mountains and savannah. The varied terrain shelters wildlife including zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions and hundreds of bird species, such as the rare shoebill stork. In the southern part of the park, vast Lake Ihema is home to hippos and crocodiles. (End).
