Saturday, August 21st 2021 marked the resumption of construction works of the FERWAFA Accommodation Facility Phase One.
FERWAFA President accompanied by Vice President, some Executive Committee Members and staff toured the area whose construction works had been on halt since December 7th 2017 and had been evaluated to be completed at 53%.
The FERWAFA Accommodation Facility in its first phase will consist of a Ground Floor and Four Floors. The Ground Floor will be made of a lobby, two meeting rooms, two restaurants, two Suites Rooms, Kitchens and Stores. The FERWAFA Accommodation facility will have forty (40) standard rooms ten on each floor.
The remaining 47% of the phase one project will cost over Two Billion (2,608,003,518) Rwandan Francs including VAT and Custom and Import Duties. The construction Civil Works are spearheaded by PRISMA Ltd while the Contractor is China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) Ltd.
The phase one project is subject to FIFA funds through FIFA Forward project Forward funding in addition to other 2,250,000 USD provided by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation as part of the partnership between the two federations.
The Contract Period is fixed for ten (10) calendar months while the Defect Notification Period is fixed for twelve (12) calendar months.(End)
