Kigali plays host the fourth Africa Cyber Defense Forum

The Africa cyber defense forum comes to the land of a thousand hills. This year’s conference set for the 14th to 16 November gives the stage to those at the forefront of the national cybersecurity strategies to defend and deter would be attackers, National Cyber Security Centers across the world as well as the National Crime Agencies and business experts to share their vision on the future of cybersecurity.

This year’s forum is themed “The Intersection of Cybersecurity, Digital Trust and Africa’s Digital Economy”. This premiere gathering will be complemented by Executive Keynotes from global leaders and experts in plenary, issues specific sessions and thematic fireside chats.

The gathering will stage Africa’s leading hacking competition, Cyber Olympics while also featuring the latest in products and services, helping to keep Africa’s information security and data protection practitioners on guard for the next generation of threats.

The forum through its well-curated and world-class content, engages Top level Government officials, Technology experts, business leaders and other leaders of society to shape the continental, regional and industry agendas in the African cyber space.

A key feature of the ACFD 2023 will be the Cyber Olympics, a competition that helps in developing cybersecurity skills and competencies through real-life based scenarios and hands-on Virtual labs that cover areas such as; offensive cyber warfare, digital forensics, cyber defense, cryptography, programming among many other areas.
