The Minister of Foreign Affairs Vincent Biruta received today Christoph Sutter, Head of the ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross) Regional Delegation in Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi, who presented copies of his credentials.
Minister Vincent Biruta and Christoph Sutter “discussed cooperation between Rwanda and ICRC” according to the Rwandan diplomacy.
The ICRC has been working in Rwanda since 1964 and has maintained a permanent delegation in the country since 1990. It is one of the few international organisations to have remained in the country throughout the tragic events of 1994. (End)
