Minister Musabyimana and Ms Katja Gruber discussed on the future projects of Rhineland-Palatinate and Rwanda

The Minister of Local Government Musabyimana Jean Claude received Ms Katja Gruber, Director for Partnership between the Germany Federal State of Rhineland-Palatinate and Rwanda. 

They discussed the recent projects including those in pipelines, and the future of the twinning and partnership between Rwanda and Rhineland – Palatine.

The partnership between Rwanda and Rhineland-Palatinate began in 1982 with mainly focus on the exchange of cultural, knowledge, friendship, emotional experience and skills through humanitarian and developmental initiatives.

In four decades, this twinning partnership has implemented a total of 2,126 projects worth around 100,000,000 euros through six sectors including education, health, infrastructure, human capital development, and social and sector training.

The twinning partnership is operational in six Sectors of the City of Kigali, 38 Sectors in the Southern Province, 51 Sectors in the Northern Province, 43 Sectors in Western Province and 36 Sectors in Eastern Province.

The Partnership Rhineland-Palatinate/ Rwanda was founded in 1982 and has since then grown to a unique model of intercultural collaboration and friendship. (End)
