Rwandan delegation, led by Minister of Trade and Industry Jean Chrysostome Ngabitsinze, is participating in the 11th meeting of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Council of ministers responsible for trade being held in Gaborone, Botswana.
Minister Ngabitsinze presented, to the Council of Ministers, an initiative to fast track Agricultural Trading under the AfCFTA. This initiative will seek to offer a comprehensive, blended approach to building resilience of food systems and value chains on the continent.
The meeting taking place from February 11 to 12 will deliberate on Special Economic Zone regulations and address outstanding rules of origin on Textiles and Automobiles as well as momentum on the AfCFTA. (End)
