The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Felix Namuhoranye, received today Japan Ambassador to Rwanda, Isao Fukushima, at Rwanda Police General headquarters, Kacyiru.
IGP Felix Namuhoranye and Ambassador Isao Fukushima discussed potential cooperation in areas of law enforcement.
On February 20, 2023, President Paul Kagame appointed Felix Namuhoranye as the new Rwanda Police Chief, replacing Dan Munyuza who has held the duties since October 2018.
Prior to the appointment, Felix Namuhoranye served as the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of operations. The mandate of the Inspector General of Police is five years but can be renewed once. (End)
