Today, Rwanda’s Prime Minister Dr. Edouard Ngirente met with Dr. José Ángel Portal Miranda, Cuban Minister for Public Health.
The Cuban delegation is in Rwanda to participate in the 30th commemoration of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi.
Their discussions centered around strengthening existing partnerships, particularly in the health sector.
Rwanda and Cuba established diplomatic relations in 1979. The two countries enjoy long-standing relations, especially in the sectors of education and health.
The Embassy of Rwanda to Cuba is based in Ottawa, Canada, while the Embassy of Cuba to Rwanda is based in Kampala, Uganda. (End).
