President Kagame approved the establishment of the RDF Military Health Service

Maj Gen Ephraim Rurangwa, previously the Commandant of Rwanda Military Hospital, has been named the Chief of Staff for the Medical Health Service

President Kagame who is also the Commander-in-Chief of RDF has approved the establishment of the RDF Military Health Service, and has appointed and promoted its leadership as follows:

1. Chief of Staff, Medical Health Service:  Major General Doctor Ephrem Rurangwa.;

2. Colonel Dr. John Nkurikiye, promoted to Brigadier General and appointed Deputy Chief of Staff, Medical Health Service;

3. Commander Medical Operations Command: Brigadier General Doctor Jean Paul Bitega;

4. Colonel Dr. Eugene Ngoga is promoted to Brigadier General and appointed Commandant, Rwanda Military Referral and Teaching Hospital;

5. Colonel Dr. Chrysostome Kagimbana promoted to Brigadier General and appointed Commander Medical Regional Support Facilities.;

6. Director of Epidemiology and Public Health: Colonel Doctor Eric Seruyange;

7. Director of Drugs and Materials: Lieutenant Colonel Leon Ruvugabigwi;

8. Director of Medical Training, Research and Innovation: Lieutenant Colonel Doctor Vincent Sugira.

The C in C has also confirmed the following appointments:

 9. Brigadier General Franco Rutagengwa, Commandant Rwanda Military Academy, Gako.

10. Colonel Lambert Sendegeya, Chief J1.

 11. Colonel Faustin K Nsanzabera, Chief J6.

 12. Colonel Ignace Tuyisenge, Commandant Military Police Brigade.

 13. Colonel Pacifique Kabanda, Military Prosecutor General.

 14. Colonel Seraphine Nyirasafari, Director CIMIC(Director of Civil-Military Cooperation) – J9 RDF HQ.

15. Lieutenant Colonel Eugene Ruzibiza, Brigade Commander of 309 BDE.

16. Lieutenant-Colonel Joseph Ngirinshuti, ORDNANCE REGT COMDR.

17. Lieutenant Colonel Jean de Dieu Kayinamura, Managing Director, Loyal Trust Company LTD.
